ABOUT
An online educational resource operated as a not for profit organisation located in South Wales, United Kingdom. The organisation is fully registered with BAVO (Bridgend Association of Voluntary Organisations) and is part sponsored by the Welsh Government & Bridgend County Borough Council. The Project is owned and authored by Mr Rob Bowen.
The project is a member of the Bridgend Heritage Network which was established in February 2012 following a heritage conference organised by Bridgend History & Heritage Steering Group, Bridgend REACH - Bridgend Rural Development Programme - creating self-sustaining, diverse & vibrant
rural communities in Bridgend County Borough.
RECOGNITION
Originally established in March 2003 as a hobby-based website the organisation became operational from March 2004 with the website quickly achieving recognition in December 2005 from the National Library of Wales as 'An important part of Wales' documentary heritage.'
DIGITAL ARCHIVING
The website is being digitally archived at the request of the National Library of Wales which forms a part of their permanent digital archive. The website is also being digitally archived by the British Library in London & the National Library of France in Paris through the legal deposit process,
EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE
The website is heavily used by the academic world as an online educational resource and currently attracts around 6 million users per year on average. The website is used by local schools, colleges & universities as well as by government establishments around the globe.

NEW WEBSITE FOR 2016
A new version of our website is currently in progress & is being integrated into the existing site throughout 2016 - this will contain an easier navigational system along with a substantial amount of new information on the history of Kenfig & its surrounding areas.
SOCIAL MEDIA
The new version of our website is fully integrated with social media providing live news feeds from both Twitter & our own Facebook Groups.
