March 2015 - Birthday Celebrations
The website www.kenfig.org.uk started its humble beginnings 12 years ago when we registered the domain name on 03/03/03
Since that date we have come a long way in our quest to provide an online educational resource on the history of Kenfig and its surrounding areas on the Internet for all to learn from; we have encountered a number of setbacks over the years but have never deviated from our original goals even when times were tough. The website is a permanent feature on the Internet after having been recognised by the National Library of Wales & is being digitally archived for posterity through the national library networks in Wales, the UK & in France.
The website has attracted nearly 1 million users to date this year alone.
What started out as a 'hobby-based" website is now operated as a not for profit organisation with around 6 million users per year on average & is heavily used by academic establishments around the globe. There's still a long way to go and as a result we are busy in the background revamping the website with some of the latest technologies & would like to thank everyone for their continued support in visiting and using the website.
